Our company began as a mushroom farm in southwest Michigan in 1951, focusing primarily on providing quality mushrooms and later adding hothouse rhubarb. Today, at Mike Pirrone Produce we've expanded not only our acreage, but also our product supply, distributions, and packaging abilities - farming 3,000 acres of land and marketing approximately 11,000 acres of products.

The company has stayed close to its roots by remaining active in the rhubarb business, but has also adopted the growing of green beans, cucumbers, cabbage, pumpkins, squash gourds, eggplant, a variety of peppers, and organic green beans. As we continue to evolve, owners Henry "Butch" DeBlouw and son, Henry DeBlouw IV carry on the value and integrity synonymous with the Pirrone name while placing a renewed emphasis on innovation in our food safety, production, packing, and shipping.

Our Mission

Our Mission at Mike Pirrone Produce is to lead the northeast vegetable growing season in the growing and distribution of the highest quality products while maintaining ethical business boundaries and optimizing grower and customer satisfaction. Through technology and teamwork we will work towards our mission by providing open communication with our growers, employees and customers.
